U2 and Jay-Z ?
Tourdates is reporting that U2 has teamed up with Jay-Z and producer Swizz Beatz to record a charity song for the victims of the Haitian earthquake. In the article Toudates said that Swizz Beatz hinted that the group could collaborate on a song to raise money for the emergency effort and this was later confirmed by U2 guitarist The Edge In an interview with Irish radio station 2FM. The musician revealed that the track was recorded last week after Beatz contacted U2 frontman Bono. "Bono came up with the phrase on the phone and last night we were here, we wrote a song, finished, recorded, and sent it back to them," he explained. The date of the single's release has not been announced, but it has been speculated that it will be played during Friday's (January 22nd) charity telethon which has been organised by actor George Clooney. Clooney's event is set to feature appearances from a range of musical stars, such as Kid Rock, Sting, Sheryl Crow and Coldplay

Dollar Van Demos
I got a message from this great new youtube channel called Dollar Van Demos. It's a novel idea. Basically artist who rap and sing while riding a dollar van with real passengers. You gotta love the reaction of some of the passengers. I'll have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed some of the videos. My favorite video is probably this one.
check it out.
Hello The Real Flatbush,
Enjoy reading your stuff-- keep it up.
Please check out Dollar Van Demos, a new music video showcase for performers inside a dollar van with real passengers on the streets of Brooklyn. It's unpredictable fun and a great promotion for underground artists. The artists Isaiah, Crosby and Leeia Music deserve a little bit of your time and consideration.
Thank you most kindly and we welcome any feedback you may have. We're shooting additional videos next week so look for more videos soon!
Best regards,
JR
