What happens if the loans given by BOC Capital are not repaid?

Why don't you call the number and find out. But why would you even think about getting a loan and not repay it?

herod,

You must be joking. As thousands of home-buyers are showing, borrowers are more than willing to stop repaying borrowed money -- including people who got into trouble with Home Equity Loans that were spent unwisely.

This money is for business purposes. If you have a sound business plan and idea I'm pretty sure they'll work with you to get your business up and running.

I was thinking about opening a lounge or bar type of place near church avenue train station. Theres more foot traffic and there seem to be lots of buppy's and yuppy's around. I just wish I had a business partner. That area is a goldmine

biz,

There may be demand for a bar or lounge near the B/Q stop on Church Ave. However, the question, as always, is the rent.

What does space cost in that area? Can you get a liquor license?

There are few bars in the area. What's the reason for the small number?

How often do shootings occur in the bars in the area?

would you really want a business that attracted yuppies? Isn't that what we're all trying to prevent from happening? You know, keep the neighborhood unpretentious...

I think it would be a great idea to open a bar/lounge near church avenue mainly because the subway is an express stop. There is definitely more foot traffic. but I think it would be a mistake to just focus on Buppy's and Yuppy's. Maybe have it more like a place like Negrills in the village.

I would opt for a Thai place on Church. Mainly because it's very similar to Carribean food and it is very popular. Possible something like Lemongrass where there could still be a bar but it's a restaurant. Plus I don't think you need to be Thai to open a Thai restaurant. Just follow the recipe.

Hey, yuppies carry cash. They're welcome in my bar any day!
